Happy Ears

About a month ago, my friend Kimberly gave me a ticket to see Bon Iver at Town Hall.

I had heard of the band, but hadn't listened yet. I kept myself in suspense until the live

show, which was on a very stormy night in NYC....

Despite my freezing and wet feet (I had not planned my footwear well) , the experience was 

amazing.

I am inspired to post this now  because I am listening to the new Single, Blood Bank.

SOooo good. My memories of the show are brought back -- the audience was so 

charmed by Justin Vernon's humbleness at the auspiciousness of playing in the same 

Town Hall that held the memories of his own inspirations from years past. For me,

my first time hearing him-- I was hanging on every lyric. I was moved. absolutely. and 

even more so , to witness someone-anyone- doing what they really love. really doing it

with their whole being. Is there anything more sexy and inspiring as an artist? 

Thank you to Bon Iver (which is an anglicization of the French "Bon Hiver" (good winter)

dozer stayed the weekend with me --with the bow on her ear.  i told her mom i'd have to 

remove if we were were laughed at---

but it was too cold to venture out for long walks.. so it stayed on for the few occasions 

we went out.

olive was a little embarrassed because she's downtown tuff (even with sweater on)

imperfect

Found some old letterpress pieces to spell out what I've been thinking about so much lately. 

Though the "L" is backwards... it just made me realize that it is never perfect  anyway.

Today I had some 'Love Blend' tea with a friend . (the tea was delish! it had chocolate in it, of course)

I also never noticed that 'imperfect is like "I'm perfect" squeezed together.

After a blogging hiatus, I am back::! It took a bit of time for the dust to settle after a 

chaotic move, but here I am,  with a new view ..
